Gurtaj & Bhav - 'Dilwale' marriage proposal in Positano

To understand better the below engagement story of Gurtaj & his gorgeous girlfriend, Bhav, I should explain what is ‘Dilwale‘. It’s an Indian romantic action film and also an overseas success.

When Gurtaj contacted me, he wrote that he wanted to create the same scene of the 5 minute date from the film. He sent me the video and said that he would love to plan it in Positano ending up in a location with a fantastic view.

I must say that planning this proposal was challenging. We planned it by emailing each other and never tried the scene before. It just had to go perfect! Gurtaj learnt his part so he knew what to say during filming. I sent him instructions to follow, video of the proposal spot so he knew where to go and where to stop for each scene. We had different spots where to stop:

sunflowers & PROPOSAL

It didn’t end here. Gurtaj wanted to dance to their favorite song after the proposal and he was really good at it.

MEETING

When I met the couple, Bhav thought I was a Positano guide. Once we secretly put a microphone to Gurtaj, two girls appeared and walked with Bhav arm in arm. In the meantime, Gurtaj started to talk. Bhav was speechless.

RESTAURANT

When the girls grabbed Bhav, they walked slowly towards the second stop – restaurant. As per the movie, Gurtaj asked Bhav what would she like to eat. Italian, English, Chinese?

After a quick dinner, they moved forward. Gurtaj kept talking and Bhav couldn’t do anything else then follow Gurtaj’s steps.

ICE-CREAM PARLOR

Ice-cream was the next stop. Gurtaj asked Bhav what flavor she wanted, got the ice-cream and moved to another spot.

VIOLINISTS

The five-minute date also included a 30 seconds soft waltz music played by quartet. While listening to the music, Gurtaj danced with Bhav together.

FLASH MOB

The only part we added to the five-minute date was the flash mob. We had 5 dancers dancing to their favorite song: Unforgettable by French Montana. The dancers appeared as soon as the quartet stopped playing.

SUNFLOWERS & PROPOSAL

The final stop was the most import. As per the movie, one girl came to Bhav and gave her a bunch of sunflowers. In that moment, Gurtaj got down on one knee and popped the question.
