Gabriel & Cristian – same-sex wedding proposal in the castle, Rome

Today, I’d like to write about Gabriel and Cristian’s engagement story and their fairy-tale proposal in the Castle near Rome.

When I was contacted by Gabriel he didn’t have anything in mind but he knew it had to be away from tourists and have a photographer available to capture that unique moment. He told me the dates of their anniversary trip in Italy and we started to look for an ideal location where to pop the question privately. After some research, Gabriel chose the castle idea. The castle is located only 50 minutes from Rome so it was easy to reach. We hired a private car service to pick them up at the hotel in Rome and drop them off directly at the castle. Gabriel also liked the idea of adding some live music in the background and so we had a duo (violinist and cello) playing their favorite songs at the moment of the proposal.

I decorated the proposal room with a huge balloon letters saying MARRY ME and created a romantic table setting for dinner after the proposal.

When the two lovely boys arrived at the castle, I welcomed them and had them seated in a hall. Gabriel was supposed to use bathroom as an excuse to reach the proposal room first. After a few minutes I told Cristian to follow me. When Cristian entered the proposal room he couldn’t believe his eyes.

Gabriel got down on one knee and popped the question.

Did Cristian say YES??? Of course, he did!

… and because the castle has its magic, right after two glasses of prosecco we went out to have fun and took some lovely engagement photos to look at forever!
