Who wouldn’t be in love with Portofino, this picturesque harbor in Liguria famous for its elegance and dolce vita? How romantic can be your proposal if you decide to pop the question overlooking this little harbor?
When I received an email from Gideon, he told me that he was traveling to Italy with his girlfriend from Chicago. His plan was to propose to Sarah during this vacation. I knew that he would be visiting different cities: Rome, Florence, Portofino and Venice. However, Sarah’s family was also traveling into Italy the last week of their trip and was supposed to meet them in Portofino. Therefore, he thought it would be a great idea to propose right there.
Gideon wanted my help with the planning and this is what we prepared for Sarah.
Portofino has various panoramic spots but only a few of them can offer you a perfect backdrop for a romantic marriage proposal. Gideon and I were 100% sure that proposing on a private terrace would make Sarah feel over the moon.
When they arrived at the proposal spot, Sarah thought she was about to visit the Castle. She had no clue that the whole castle was actually for her.
They walked towards the proposal decoration, Gideon got down on one knee and popped the question.
Sarah was over the moon and said YES.
