Italy is for lovers: the romance is everywhere and breathtaking backdrops are endless. But still not sure of how to surprise your partner? Well, get inspired by some of my proposal stories I planned in this amazing country:
His name was Dipam and he was emailing me from Florida. He always imagined a different proposal with a beautiful backdrop. Dipam and his girlfriend Alisha met in college and were dating for more than 6 years. For the first few years of their relationship they always did 2000 piece puzzles, first of which was Cinque Terre actually. For this reason, Dipam loved the idea of getting down on one knee on a private boat overlooking Manarola and during the sunset.
He hoped I could help make this a perfect proposal and so I did my best to satisfy his expectations.
First of all, Dipam was supposed to tell Alisha that he booked a boat tour along the cost to see Cinque Terre and that the photographer was included in the tour as well. The plan worked perfectly and Alisha had no clue we arranged for a surprise of a lifetime.
The tour started in Monterosso, stopped at Vernazza and finally they reached Manarola where ‘it’ happened.
Once they reached the ‘perfect spot’ with a beautiful panorama overlooking the typical colorful houses of Cinque Terre, the boat driver stopped driving, the photographer got ready to capture that unique moment, Dipam got closer to Alisha and said those magic words: Alisha, Will You Marry Me?
How epic was that moment? Alisha couldn’t believe her eyes.
She said YES!
Congratulations on your engagement Dipam & Alisha!
After the proposal, the newly-engaged couple celebrated this special day with a bottle of prosecco and took some gorgeous photos along the cost.
… and when the sun went down the sky turned out to be full of magical colors.
