It was December when Donald contacted me that he would come to Rome with his girlfriend Emmy. He wanted to propose somewhere iconic and so after some time of searching for the best venue we decided to plan the proposal on a panoramic terrace of a luxury hotel Villa Agrippina. This urban resort is located in the heart of Rome.
The proposal took place on the best terrace of this venue in order to capture that picture-perfect moment with the breathtaking backdrop. Donald wanted to keep the proposal private and we could definitely do that on this terrace. To surprise Emmy, we decorated the spot with the big MARRY ME letters, white roses and rose petals around them. Don’t you find this set up magical?
My plan was to meet the couple with an excuse to accompany them on a rooftop of the hotel for an aperitif. When we entered the terrace, Emmy couldn’t believe her eyes. She was totally speechless.
A few minutes after the proposal, Emmy found out that they weren’t alone on the terrace. Look at her face when she realized her best friends came to Rome, too. In many cases, friends play a big part of this day, especially when they know that she would love to have the second outfit on this special day.
We took some photos with the first outfit and then Emmy changed and wore this green long dress she liked a lot. It matched perfectly with the decoration and the hotel ambience. It’s very important to choose the proposal location as you can always take an advantage of the venue for the engagement photo shoot session in different corners. We took some photos inside the hotel and outside near the pool.

Then we went out and even if it was cold, we could still capture that warm atmosphere of these two lovebirds.
Fairy lights bring warmth and romance into any setting. Their delicate, twinkling flow evokes a magical ambiance that is particularly well-suited for romantic photo shoot.
Donald & Emmy couldn’t close 2022 any better. They were ready to celebrate the first Christmas as fiancé and fianceée.
