Adam contacted me when he was interested in working with me for a surprise proposal for his girlfriend Zoe in Rome. His idea was to propose privately and he looked more for something that creates the best experience. Adam also wanted to make sure that Zoe is wearing a nice outfit so he needed some excuse to make her dress up.
Adam and I started planning the proposal on a private terrace but giving that the weather in March is unstable, we had to move to a plan B – an indoor location. The location we picked was absolutely stunning. The proposal room was inside of the Palazzo Ruspoli, one of the most historical palaces in Rome. Ruspoli Bonaparte Residence is located in a historical 16th-century Palace, where the young Emperor Bonaparte resided with her mother Ortensia of Beauharnais, Queen of Holland. The residence is decorated with statues featuring important historical characters and more than 10 halls are fully frescoed by Napoleon III’s mother. I prepared the surprise in one of these frescoed halls, decorated it with the big balloon letters ‘A’ & ‘Z’, flower bouquet and with some photos of the couple.
When the couple arrived, Zoe asked for the washroom and while she was away, Adam reached the proposal room and waited for Zoe to enter.

Adam got down on one knee and asked Zoe to marry him. Did she say YES? Of course, she did!
What a surprise!
After the proposal, the couple shared a Champagne toast to start their new life together.
