Michael & Candace – Marriage proposal in Villa D’Este, Tivoli

Destination marriage proposals have become very popular these days and sometimes they can be really challenging, especially if you want to propose in a country you have never been to before.  You just have this idea to pop the question with a gorgeous backdrop but don’t really know how to make this dream reality. Sometimes being on vacation makes even the simplest wedding proposal romantic and totally unforgettable.

When your significant other knows where you go for the trip, your goal is to make this trip a complete surprise and more wow. Destination proposals need preparation before you depart. You need to do an advance research or you simply ask for a local proposal planner help to assist you and plan a perfect proposal. Why a local Proposal Planner? Well, definitely because they know how to deal with the local people and they know the most romantic locations for the engagement.

When Michael contacted me he said that he wanted to propose to Candace and make this experience as memorable as possible. In addition, he wanted to capture this once-in-a-lifetime moment and make a short video so he could share his experience with family and friends. Which is totally understandable. You just need this prove!

Micheal’s idea was to propose with an amazing backdrop such as it could be Amalfi Coast but because of the time and logistics we had to stick to a proposal spot which was closer to Rome. Micheal opted for a stunning Villa D’Este located in Tivoli, just 45 minutes from Rome. Villa D’Este is famous for its fountains and gardens. It’s pretty huge and offers various spots for a romantic marriage proposal.

In order not to increase any suspicion about the proposal, Micheal told Candace that they were going to visit villa but didn’t say which one. He just said he booked an additional tour so they could enjoy the day on their arrival to Rome. He also said that the tour comes with photography at the venue, plus he told her to dress nicely due to the rules of villa. In this way we could take pictures at any time and have them dressed appropriately for the proposal photo shooting.

Marriage Proposal in Villa D'EsteWhen we reached the proposal spot, which was actually the biggest fountain in the Villa D’Este garden, I told them to look at the fountain so we could start taking some pictures. While she was looking at the fountain, I rolled down the banner saying ‘Will you marry me, Candace?‘ so when she turned back she could see the surprise. Her reactions was priceless!

She said ‘YES’
