Popping the question on a very special trip is already a success. Destination marriage proposals are a truly epic way to propose, especially if you’re dreaming of visiting a romantic vacation spot just like Rome. And what if one of those vacation days is a Valentine’s Day? Well, then probably this the the perfect day to make this vacation even more exciting.
My San Valentine’s couple from New York, Nimrod and his stunning Yvonne made their vacation in Rome extraordinary.
When Nimrod contacted me, I tried to get as much information as I needed from my questionnaire in order to create personalized proposal ideas. I proposed 3 ideas and he chose the one that sounded very appealing. Then we added some romantic touches and finalized the itinerary as follows:
- Exclusive SPA treatments
- Dinner in a restaurant with a stunning view
- Proposal on a terrace overlooking Rome
When I proposed a spa to Nimrod, he really liked the idea because he knew Yvonne would appreciate some relax after a long day strolling in Rome. I wanted them to enjoy the time in a very romantic and intimate atmosphere listening to Yvonne’s favorite music artist. I chose Terme di Trastevere, a small spa center located in a picturesque medieval area. We reserved the spa exclusively and decided for the package that included:
- a vat citrus hydromassage
- sensorial chromotherapy shower
- steam bath
- 25 minute of massage (per person)
- relaxed area
- herbal teas and aperitif – a bottle of prosecco & finger food
Nimrod, wanted to propose in a restaurant so I sent him a list of 6 restaurants to choose from. Firstly, I wanted him to choose the restaurant and then work on the proposal spot. His idea was to propose privately so once I knew where he wanted to have dinner I looked for the place that could give them a little bit of privacy and intimate moments for those magic words.
Nimrod thought Casina Valadier would be ideal for the proposal. He just loved the view. As a proposal spot, Nimrod liked the idea of the terrace overlooking Rome. It was also a unique space he could pop the question privately and under the tend in case of rain.
San Valentine’s day finally arrived and we had all under the control. Nimrod and Yvonne had their spa treatment booked at 6pm. I got there earlier to make sure all is set.
After the spa they got back in the hotel, dressed and got ready for dinner.
When they finished dessert, a waiter came to Yvonne and gave her a little note saying: ‘I found the spot! Please follow me.‘ The waiter actually accompanied them on the first floor and opened the terrace door. And what happened there? Well, you can only imagine …
She said: ‘Yes!’
