Let’s be honest. How many women dream of being proposed in Tuscany? The land of wine, olive groves, great food, amazing nature and breathtaking fields and valleys. Answer? Millions! And what would be the perfect way to plan the proposal? Well, I’ll leave it on you! Or let’s just be inspired by a marriage proposal overlooking Montepulciano, a suggestive medieval hill town in the Province of Siena.
“I only plan on doing it once, so I want to make it unforgettable – that’s my goal“. These were Jared’s words when he contacted me asking to help with the proposal planning. His proposal idea was clear from the very beginning and so we immediately started with the research. Firstly, we had to find an intimate and very romantic location overlooking a vineyard, possibly on an amazing spot for the sunset proposal, decorated with candles and personal photos. What we found was totally gorgeous. A tranquil country estate in the heart of Tuscany which lays on foundations more than a thousand years old, with the main house and annex dating back to 1622 – Lupaia.
You must know that proposal planning is not only about finding the location but most importantly, it’s about creating the ‘wow factor’ in a meaningful location. Remember that creativity and the effort you put into the proposal is always appreciated. Details make difference, too. For example, what Jared and I thought was to personalize the wine bottles with labels saying touching quotes about Jared and Kaylene’s relationship.
What we needed next, was to find out a good excuse to get Kaylene at the proposal spot. And we did. Jared told Kaylene to get ready for the wine tasting experience at 6:30pm (perfect time to capture the proposal photos by sunset). Giving that they stayed in Tuscany region, the excuse worked perfectly. I told Jared to reach the proposal spot just a few minutes before Kaylene so when she had to walk towards to it, she could feel that once-in-a-lifetime moment.
… the moment of the sentimental speech.
and the question …
… and yes, she said YES!
When the sun went down, the atmosphere changed.
Right after the engagement, the newly engaged couple couldn’t miss dinner in the restaurant serving fresh Tuscan food. But before we captured some extra photos to keep more memories of this special day.
“Once in awhile, right in the middle of an ordinary life, love gives us a fairy tale.”
Congratulations Jared & Kaylene!
